Biographical Sketch
Jane G. Pepper has been President of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society since 1981. In this capacity she directs the Society’s activities and programs, including the fabulous Philadelphia Flower Show and Philadelphia Green, the nation’s most extensive greening program. Ms. Pepper writes a weekly gardening column for the Philadelphia Inquirer and is the author of a book entitled” Jane Pepper’s Garden: Getting the Most Pleasure and Growing Results From Your Garden Every Month of the Year.” In addition to her horticultural activities, Ms. Pepper is a Director of the PNC Bank Corporation, a member of the Board of Directors of the First Hospital Foundation and the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.

Presentation Summary
Jane Pepper described the behind-the-scenes activities in connection with the preparations for the upcoming Philadelphia Flower Show, whose theme will be “Gardens for the Millenium.” She also discussed Philadelphia Green projects that are funded with proceeds from the Flower Show.
