The University of Pennsylvania is hosting one of the most important conferences of the coming year on one of the most important subjects facing mankind — how to feed the cities as they grow beyond the wildest dreams of many experts while rural populations continue to dwindle. Experts predict it will take a doubling of current world food production to feed the population in 2050.
