In a rare, joint appearance by the three secretaries of agriculture from Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, PSPA members and guests were treated to an exceptional meeting, online with zoom, exploring the inside story of COVID-19 and agriculture in each state. It was clear that agriculture, as usual, responded to the crisis in extraordinary ways to ensure that the food supply continued with few interruptions. The challenges surrounding production, processing, and distribution were many and difficult. Each of the secretaries described different aspects of agriculture and the food system as they explained in detail the response in each state. This unique opportunity to hear the top governmental leaders in agriculture for the three states will no doubt stand out as one of the most engaging and important meetings of the year.
