At the February meeting of the Philadelphia Society for Promoting Agriculture Dr. Bettsy Mosimann was presented with the Society’s prestigious medal in recognition of her contributions to the Society over many years. The backdrop for the presentation of this historic medal was the special collections room of the Van Pelt Library of the University of Pennsylvania. Our current president, Dr. Mark Myers, read the inscription engraved on the framing of the metal which summarized the numerous contributions Betsie has made over the years in furtherance of the Society’s mission.  The gathered members of the Society responded to the presentation with warm applause and many congratulatory handshakes.
