Longwood Gardens is a premier American botanical garden located on over 1,077 acres of gardens, woodlands, and meadows in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, in the Brandywine Creek Valley.  It has been a center for education and innovation in horticulture since its founding in 1921. This field trip is a “behind the scenes” tour of the facility, focusing on production, presentation, and education.  Paul Redman, CEO, will have opening remarks and Jonathan Waple, Director of Operations and Events, will be our host for the tour, lunch, and questions and answers.

Arrive at Longwood Gardens at 10:15 am, park in the main Visitor Center partkng, and come to the Ballroom at the top of the facility.  Your registration and lunch are complementary.  However, a pre-registration is required.  The event is limited to 40 PSPA members and their guests.  If there are places available after October 4, 2022 PSPA willl select additional parties to fill the event,  Send pre-registration to Secretary Scott Sheely at pspaonline@gmail.com including your name, the names of any of your guests who are attending, and your email or telephone.

Longwood Gardens CEO Paul Redman will welcome attendees and introduce people supporting the program at 10:30 am in the Ballroom.  A series of three “behind the scenes” tours will conclude at the Ballroom at noon.  Lunch begins at 12:15 with a short business meeting and the award presentations of this year’s Fred Winter Scholarships by Mrs.  Barbara Winter.
