As Agriculture Prospers, It’s a Struggle to Find Enough Employees

U.S. agriculture and food companies are struggling to attract enough workers, a problem the industry says is getting worse. Innovation and growing demand for food has led to the creation of thousands of new jobs. As the farm economy has prospered, agribusiness companies are able to pay more to attract employees. Companies have focused more attention on promoting the job opportunities for scientists, accountants, attorneys and others. To help attract employees, businesses have increased internships and worked more closely with universities to better prepare students for what they can expect when they graduate.
