Meet New Vice-President Jessica McAtamney

Jessica McAtamney is the new Secretary of the PSPA.  She holds an LCSW from the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently completing her Ed.D at Drexel University.

Starting in July, Jessica will lead Lankenau Environmental Science Magnet High School, School District of Philadelphia.   She has spent nearly two decades in agricultural education, including seven years in higher education as a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania in the Racism Sequence at SP2.

Jessica currently serves as the co-chair of the Urban AG subcommittee for the city’s Food Policy Advisory Council and is actively involved in the development of Career and Technical Education as it relates to Natural Resources. Before working in education, she served in the Peace Corps and has completed a Fulbright in Sustainable Education.

In her role as PSPA’s Secretary, she hopes to encourage PSPA  to develop the ag/environmental capacity of both urban growers and students. She is a strong organizer/ supporter of MANRRS and the FFA.
