Leo Holt, president of Holt Logistics of Philadelphia, addressed the Society on June 6, 2014, with a fast-moving presentation on logistics at the Port of Philadelphia.  Mr. Holt not only covered the history of his company’s presence in Philadelphia but touched on the many intricacies of moving fresh fruits and vegetables in today’s global markets.  The presentation also touched on the importance of agronomic research and extension in the improvement of fruits and vegetables, including issues relating to shipping and storage.
