From New Member…Food Marketing Program at St. Joseph’s University

While our university has recently become a member, I have been on your mailing list for years.  In fact I have spoken to the group a few times over my 40 years at the university.

I wanted to let you know that our department in food marketing is starting an agribusiness certificate program from our food marketing department.   We saw there were no graduate programs in Agribusiness in the area.  So we created a certificate program in Agribusiness. Our program, in the Haub School of Business, is an AACSB accredited program and is internationally rated as one of the best in the world. (I believe #9 in the world and #2 in the USA). It will be different from most agribusiness programs in that it is more demand focused and not how to grow more efficiently.  It is a focus on the food consumer and customer.

The program would be on-line, so no need to come to Philly, but if someone wants to they can come to the in-person courses.  The certificate would be 4 total courses and besides an agribusiness course it would include a food Industry overview. a supply chain course, a food retailing course (mostly focusing on the wide variety of outlets for the farm products and an elective. These courses would count to an MS in food marketing with only 6 more classes if someone is interested.

If anyone wants more information just write to me at jstanton@sju.edu or call me on my cell phone at 856-796-0455.  to register they can contact KKlarich@sju.edu

I thought you might be able to include a word or two about our new program in one of your emails.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you might provide.
