Judy Wicks, Founder of All Together Now PA, will speak on “Hemp: A Building Block for Resilient Communities”. As we face climate emergency and the vulnerability of global supply chains, the versatile hemp plant can play an important role in building regional self-reliance. Not long after the 80-year ban on hemp was lifted, the nonprofit All Together Now Pennsylvania saw the opportunity to shape this new industry in a way that provides basic needs of food, textiles, medicine and building material, while also creating opportunity for marginalized rural and urban communities.
