A small but enthusiastic group of Philadelphia Society for Promoting Agriculture members joined President Dr. Michael Fidanza at the Honeybrook Golf Club on October 2, 2025 for a practical lesson in turf management at the Club in western Chester County. The Club owners were the hosts of the tour and added to the conversation.

Key takeaways from the visit revolved around the importance of managing water resources effectively, keeping fertilizer and other soil amendments to a minimum, and keeping relations with neighbors and local governments friendly. In season, having enough human resources to take care of the many tasks involved is another issue.
