Bob Dinneen kept Society members glued to their seats at our November meeting as he gave a sweeping overview of the current situation regarding alternative fuels as agricultural value added products. Mr. Dinneen, Executive Director of Renewable Fuels Association, presented details concerning the growth of alternative fuels in recent years, especially ethanol. He also shared his considerable insights regarding the politics surrounding the federal regulations and laws regarding alternative fuels. He even took on the touchy subject of the economic impacts of ethanol growth on food price. Needless to say, Society members are now more knowledgeable concerning the complex subject area of alternative fuels.
