SUMMARY:"Where It All Began: A Field Trip to Carpenters’ Hall”
DESCRIPTION:Carpenters' Hall\, in Independence National Historical Park in 
 Philadelphia\, Pennsylvania\, is the official birthplace of the Commonweal
 th of Pennsylvania and a key meeting place in the early history of the Uni
 ted States. It was the first meeting place of the Philadelphia Society for
  Promoting Agriculture.\n\nCompleted in 1775\, the two-story brick meeting
  hall was built for and is still privately owned by the Carpenters' Compan
 y of the City and County of Philadelphia\, the country's oldest extant cra
 ft guild.  PSPA Member Tom Stokes\, the archivist for the Hall\, will be 
 offering an enhanced tour of the Hall. PSPA will be unveiling its America 
 250 Philadelphia project during the field trip.\n\nLunch is across the str
 eet from the Hall.   The Museum of the American Revolution is nearby and 
 a great add-on while in the Historic Area.\n\nLocation\n\nCarpenters’ Ha
 ll\n320 Chestnut Street\nPhiladelphia\, PA 19106\n\nLogistics\n\n 	Thursda
 y\, September 4\, 2025 with meet and greet at front entrance at 10:00 am\;
  program at 10:30 am.\; and lunch together at noon.  Lunch is adjacent to
  the Hall.  Stay and wander on your own following lunch.  Museum of the 
 American Revoluntion is close by at 101 South Third Street\, Philadelphia\
 , PA 19106\n 	Registration fee is $35 and pre-registration is required.
