SUMMARY:“The Ornamental Horticulture Industry in the Region”
DESCRIPTION:This program explores the flourishing Delaware Valley horticult
 ural industry’s production of perennials\, woody shrubs\, and trees. In 
 Longwood’s beautiful new Fountain Room\, officials from the PA\, DE\, NJ
 \, and MD Landscape and Nursery Associations will describe their organizat
 ions’ role in the industry. Following the program\, will be tours of the
  new conservatory and their floriculture production facility by Longwood s
 taff. A complimentary lunch will be served in the Fountain Room.\n\nAfter 
 lunch\, there is an optional afternoon visit to North Creek (wholesale) Nu
 rseries\, 388 North Creek Road\, Landenberg\, PA 19350\, where North Creek
 ’s owner will describe how growers forecast the market\; what their grow
 ing year looks like\; how they liaise with academia in terms of research a
 nd the growing trend for gardeners and designers to use more natives.\n\nL

 d to provide your own transportation.  Program dismisses from there.\n 	R
