SUMMARY:“Public Horticulture in the Delaware Valley”
DESCRIPTION:As far back as the Bartrams and Humphry Marshall as well as the
  many public gardens and training programs\, the Delaware Valley has been 
 and continues to be a hub for public horticulture.  This program touches 
 on the roots of public horticulture and also includes an overview of the k
 nowledge and skills needed by practitioners who are keeping horticulture i
 n public spaces alive today.  Andrew Bunting\, Vice-President of the Penn
 sylvania Horticulture Society\, will present the program and lead the walk
 ing tour\,\n\n“A Walking Tour of the Horticulture Projects of PHS”\n\n
 Led by PSPA Member and PHS Vice-President Andrew Bunting\, this walking to
 ur will begin and end at the PHS offices on 20th St.  Stops will include 
 Love Park\, Logan Circle\, the Rodin Museum\, the Philadelphia Museum of A
 rt\, the Azalea Garden\, and the Eastern State Penitentiary.  A box lunch
  will be provided followed by the Walking Tour.\n\nLocation\n\nThe Pennsyl
 vania Horticultural Society\n100 N. 20th Street - 5th Floor\nPhiladelphia\
 , PA 19103\n\nLogistics\n\n 	Thursday\, May 1\, 2025 with meet and greet a
 t 10:00 am\; program at 10:30 am.\; luncheon at noon\; and tour at 1:00 pm
