SUMMARY:“Creating a Golf Course from Agricultural Land: A Field Trip"
DESCRIPTION:\nHoneybrook Golf Club is nestled among the Amish farms of Ches
 ter County\, Pennsylvania. Open to the public every day\, Honeybrook is a 
 mixture of wide-open links\, tree-lined fairways\, protected wetlands\, br
 eathtaking vistas\, and subtle elevation changes that combine natural beau
 ty and great golf.  The Piersol family established this golf course 25 ye
 ars ago from their former dairy farm site\, and agriculture is still a big
  part of the Piersol family heritage.\n\n\nDuring this field trip\, our ow
 n President\, Michael Fidanza\, will help us understand the challenges fro
 m a turf management perspective by examining a case situation where neighb
 or relations led to rethinking the course and relocating a hole with signi
 ficant challenges.  Dr. Fidanza will also weave some basic turf managemen
 t principles into this interesting overview of a specialized horticulture
