DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\nOn September 1\, 2022\, the program year of the Soc
 iety kicks off at 11:30 am with a meet and greet\, the luncheon at the Uni
 on League begins at 12:00 noon\, and the program featuring Paul Brauer\, C
 EO of Brown's Super Stores\, will begin at 1:00 pm.\n\nPaul Brauer\, our s
 peaker\, is the President &amp\; Chief Operating Officer for Brown’s Sup
 er Stores\, Inc.\, a growing twelve-store supermarket chain trading under 
 the ShopRite and Fresh Grocer banners and part of the Wakefern Food Corpor
 ation.  Paul graduated from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania with 
 a degree in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior\, and received his
  Masters of Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University\n\nBrau
 er and his company are deeply engaged in the supply and demand programs th
 at are currently engaging retail supermarkets.  As one of the leading sup

 igently with many Philadelphia community based organizations and has set u
 p programs including partners-in-training\, a job specific training progra
 m\, linking ShopRite\, the Enon Tabernacle Church and Uplift Solutions\, a
  non-profit social service partner in a collaborative training program. To
  date this program has taken over 500 people from unskilled and unemployed
  to having a great future in the ShopRite career path. In addition\, Paul 
 also is involved with many of the Non-Profit programs in the City of Phila
 delphia. For several years\, Paul has been working on job training program
 s and placement to give ex-offenders a new beginning when re-entering soci
 ety. He has been a guest speaker at many events related to his work with e
 mploying ex-offenders and advocating for legislation in the area of reduci
 ng recidivism.\nPaul is an executive member of the Board of Directors of t
 he Urban Affairs Coalition (UAC)\, and Vice-President of the Board of the 
 Park West Business Association. He serves as an advisory board member to P
 hilabundance Food Bank\, as well as Self-Incorporated\, a non-profit runni
 ng homeless shelters. He also serves as an adjunct professor teaching Inte
 grated Marketing Communications within the Food Marketing program at St. J
 oseph’s University in Philadelphia.\n\nPaul graduated from Shippensburg
