January’s Presentation on Equine Activity in SE Pennsylvania by PSPA Members

In the past many members having acknowledged that some of our best programs have been presented by the Society’s own members. We anticipate that the January meeting will continue that trend. Duncan Allison and John Urbanchuk (our president) will present an overview of the recently completed study of equine activity in Southeastern Pennsylvania. This study examined the many and considerable economic impacts generated by equine agriculture and related industries and businesses. In many jurisdictions across the country the completion of a study around impacts of the equine industry has both raised awareness of, and generated considerable support for, the many economic benefits of this industry. There is much value-added impact in the equine industry, fitting perfectly with our theme for this year’s programs. We are excited to present this study at our January meeting and urge every member to plan to be there and bring a guest (or two).
