Don’t Miss Lash’s Presentation

Family farms are the foundation of U.S. agriculture. This has been confirmed by the 2012 Census which found that 97% of all farms are family owned. 88% of U.S. farms are small farmer farms as defined by the USDA so have sales less than $350,000 per year.

We also know that farming is an extremely challenging business with market prices for crops varying hugely from year to year and even month to month.

Allen Lash is our speaker on April 2nd. He is CEO of the FamilyFarms Group which delivers “business solutions for agricultural producers designed to preserve their legacy now and for future generations. FamilyFarms Group, established in 2006 and headquartered near St. Louis, MO, is owned by its Members and represents more than 1.5 million acres of row crop production throughout North America. Participating together with a singular purpose, FamilyFarms Group can achieve what individual producers cannot – accumulation of enough acres, knowledge, technology, and capital to successfully compete globally.”

All our programs this year have been devoted to sustainability. There is no more important aspect than sustaining our farmers with the knowledge, technology and capital to succeed.

Allen Lash is traveling from Brighton in Illinois. This is another talk not to miss.  See you there!
